Sinner's Cry

Have mercy on me, O Lord
For I am a sinful man
Take not your Spirit away from me
Restore unto me, O Lord
The Joy of salvation
And renew your Spirit unto me

These are the words that I said to my Saviour
And He smiled down on me and said

Son, my grace is enough
And my strength is made perfect in weakness
Now go and sin no more
For your faith has made you whole

Time and time again I've sinned
And time and time again I've asked for forgiveness
Time and time again I've said that I'm not going to do this again
And time and time again I've gone back and done
The exact same thing I said I wasn't going to do
Time and time again I have sat at the corner of my room
And just thought to myself
The amount of times I have fallen short of your glory
And how every time I ask for forgiveness, you're always
Always so merciful onto me
There is just nothing that I have done
I do not deserve your love
I do not deserve your grace
I do not deserve your mercy
But yet you still, you still love me
And you're still merciful onto me
And there are times when I just tell myself
That yes, I know your grace is enough for me
And I know your strength is made perfect in my weakness
And that there is nothing that will come between you and me, oh Lord
And I just want to say thank you
