The Soup

Weightless you drift from the shore,
dancing on air and breathing life.
Wading along the coast
sinking in sand, I'm fossalized.
Laughter curls round like foam
skull for a shell I ring inside.
Your echo became my home
I drown on land, love's parasite.

Away... I rise,floating... like ice.

Undertow takes hold letting go as we dive
afterglow burns cold corals light the seaside.
In the flow, so low
breathing slow, I'm resigned
but night's unknown black hole
shines like it's designed.

Sail-sailing across my eyes
you let your scent wash over me.
Carried by waves, you rise
it's getting harder just to breath.
I whisper my name and try
to say it like you sad it to me.
The sea is an endless eye
losing my bearings - too dark o see.

Away.I rise,with you... I'd fly.

Undertow takes hold letting go as we dive
afterglow burns cold corals light the seaside.
In the flow, so low
breathing slow, I'm resigned
but night's unknown black hole
shines like it's designed.

The farther we go from home
the harder to know we've gone
The closer we are in a sense, the closer we are to ourselves.
The harder we hold what's gone
The further we know that we've come
the closer we are to the shore the faster we drown in ourselves.
