Golden Wings

Although your time on Earth was short, you never did complain;
All the constant medication, the needles and the pain;

You savoured everyday, as if it was your last;
So for the hope and inspiration, the time it went so fast;

And now your golden wings, shine bright up in the sky;
And I know that you were ready, even though I question why;
But the man up above, does mysterious things;
And he gave you, your golden wings;

Although you left behind, many broken-hearted souls;
You filled your time with memories, though you never did grow old;
And when I lie in bed each night,
I thank god he would bring an angel to my life with golden wings;

They say the life that's in your years, is the brightest most of all;
And if it's true, I know that you, were ready for gods call;
