A Phony in a World of Holden Caulfields

Sometimes I'm the moralist
Sometimes I'm the apologist
Sometimes I just can't resist
Egg on my face, egg on my face

Is this here what I believe
Or how I want to be perceived
My politics may seem naive
Because they're better than me,
Better than me

And so I think of the anarchist who knows just what
to say but their actions give way to different things
And objectivist,
A difficult tryst, a good way I think to hate yourself more everyday

People
Their actions concede so often
To be against their own beliefs
Yeah I wish,
I wish I was pure,
a perfect example but I will always be the hypocrite
I be not worthy to hold a candle

Holden Caulfield is so cool
LOL
