I Miss You

It's 3 am and the scenes on repeat and my eyelids are glued to my head
The sunrise had come a bit early today and pushes its weight on my head
I get up to pick a few Dahlias for you and lay my back onto the sand
Tear drops and memories flow out to shore. I'm drowning, give me a hand

Oh... I miss you

The Gold departed chases traffic, lost in chaos
I forget the way you sang along
Is it okay to breathe? Is it okay to sink? Is it okay to let myself drown in the sea
Is it okay to stop saying I miss you
An old pal is staring I can't hear him speak
I reach out to shore and away from the gulls
He stumbles and speaks the words I miss you
And, I miss you, Oh I miss you

Thunderstorms drag me with your hymns
Take me where no humans have been

I awake to a call from misty old dog with my Dahlia's clenched in his jaws
"Your jaw looks all fixed" I say "I've stranger dreams, now you're here so let's move along"

The flowers on your graves have more company today followed by a reminiscing song
I've come to play something you'd like to hear, you can all sing right along
Oh... I miss you... forever and ever and ever
