Arrival

Oh!
How brilliant the feathers of white marbled stone
Shine against the radiant glow

Alas!
Arrival!
With wind at my back and ground beneath my feet
I stand upon the summit where
The pinnacle rests atop all clouds
Surveying valley's below
Its peak accompanied by the soft azure skies
And alit by the sun
Oh! How brilliant the feathers of white marbled stone
shine against the radiant glow

Pours essence of light o'er the ground
A low hum from within begins to roar
And I feel drawn to it
Its pull inescapable
The vibrant light pouring from its core

Reaching my hand to grasp the orb
And yet still a mirthless moment
A swelling in my chest as I realize this is the end

Eyes become blinded by illumination
And as the white fades to reveal color once more
I see no more just a lineament of her face but her whole figure
Standing before me, arms out stretched,
palms a-glow with a soft purple hue
I take her hand

In this moment she gives to me the greatest gift of memory
Flowers in fields swaying to and fro
Rushing winds and their cry like a thunderous roar
As they pass through caverns and valleys alike
Crashing waves land upon black obsidian shores
The closure of solemnity

My Existence
The great orator
My Intendment
Clairvoyant

We were sent to this place
Our punishment, exile and loss
With purpose clear, the visions slip away
Only accompanied by the glow of the orb
