My Ukulele
I'd like to introduce a close friend of mine
He's got 4 strings and I never leave him behind
He's never said a bad word about anyone,
But people still continue to criticize
My ukulele
'I like your tiny guitar' they say
I correct them, but they argue anyway
I wish the reputation was better for my friend
They ask 'is that a Taylor?' oh, here we go again
It doesn't make me any less than you
Just because I have fewer strings than you do
I can still strum and fingerpick
And play more than 3 chords
I know more keys than G and C
And I can play a minor 4
With 4 strings its less trouble to tune
And I dont have to change the strings as soon
I dont really get many freebird requests
But I could still play it if I wanted to
On my ukulele
It's not as easy to play as you think
And happy songs are not all that I sing
And yes I've heard somewhere over the rainbow too
But that's not all that I can do
It doesnt make me any less than you
Just because I have fewer strings than you do
I can still strum and fingerpick
And play more than 3 chords
I know more keys than G and C
And I can play a minor 4
(yeah thats still a ukulele)
It doesnt make me any less than you
Just because i have fewer strings than you do
I can still strum and fingerpick
And play more than 3 chords
I know more keys than G and C
And I can play a minor 4
