Out on that horizon, I can almost see tomorrow
Where the sunset meets the hillside, and the road begins to narrow

A Lone coyote howlin, he's just a searchin' for his pak
The Northern Lights dancin' in the night, man this is where life's at

Where small town folk go to work each morning, still sit together at night

Every year about July time, the county fair comes around,
We all take out our best hat and we drive on into town
A couple hot dogs and a few cans of beer, and we're off to the rodeo
I hear the stock is really good this year, no cowboy's ever ridden that bull

After the rodeo, it's to the Stage Coach, there's a country band they play fine
We'll have a 2 Steppin', slow dancing, maybe even romancing Country Boy kinda time
Probably sleep it off in my truck, hang my hat up for the night
With a little luck, the skies will be clear, and I can catch them Northern Lights
