There's a man on a mountain
in a bunker of gold
where he's safe from the shrapnel
& the street fights & brawls
where he's secure to spout hatred
without being involved
& he claims that his motives
are freedom & god

& he stands at the podium
somewhere far televised
with his mouth spitting venom
& his poisonous lies
giving power to the idea
that if our nation is free
i should bludgeon my neighbors
if they look different than me

now his swarms start to gatherin'
like wasps beating their wings
to force-feed their rhetoric
& ideology
down the throats of the people
who's suffering has no end
should it really feel this awful
to make america great again?

it's because i believe in a humanity
but as long as we're lead by a monster
then the monsters have a reason to believe
that their violence so senseless
is valid in the eyes of their king
