Homemade Hell

We make mountains out of hills
And then we blame it on the pills
And the self medication
A sick fascination we have with being in denial
But it's been a while since we've

Slipped, tripped, busting our lip
We fell into our home made hell
Ring the bell, class is in session
This is my greatest confession
I'm addicted to being afflicted with self doubt
What would I do without it
Now I see that we need someone
So much better than me

The words from your mouths give me chills
Spend your money on cheap thrills, and relaxation
Living in a nation obsessed with greed
Doing exactly what we want
And never what we need
And then we

Slipped, tripped, busting our lip
We fell into our home made hell
Ring the bell, class is in session
This is my greatest confession
I'm addicted to being afflicted with self doubt
What would I do without it
Now I see that we need someone
So much better than me

Sobriety in this society is a mentality
The reality is we no longer use tissues to deal with out issues
Instead of dealing with the problems at hand
We retreat to our separate sides and disband
Ignoring the problems we hadn't began to begin with

And then we
Slipped, tripped, busting our lip
We fell into our home made hell
Ring the bell, class is in session
This is my greatest confession
I'm addicted to being afflicted with self doubt
What would I do without it
Now I see that we need someone so much better than me
