Autumn Scars

All scapes out from within
Turns the sky in shades of grey
Leaves lying dead on down the stairs
Drizzle makes the air stale

Life's a moving stream of time to no avail
The clouds and the waves sway in a reverie of grace
The spring has died and the summer's gone
Then life will cease to spread

Skies of coal they hide the sun
And make the hearts grow cold and out of grasp
Promise me nothing is real
While the autumn scars they tear
The wounds that will heal in the sun

Thoughts swirl like in waterspouts
Wiggling 'round in haunting clouds
Those startled perish first
Pray to something if something's there

Wake in the haze of a dream
Of crashing snow from the trees
Loudly the seas will recede

Take off something add some more
Heaven falls in rain drops
Count down the scars
From the face of the land
Is a fever that boils
Given in to the rift

Life's a moving stream of time to no avail
The clouds and the waves sway in a reverie of grace
The spring has died and the summer's gone
Then life will cease to spread its wings to prevail

Skies of coal they hide the sun
And make the hearts grow cold and out of grasp
Promise me nothing is real
While the autumn scars, you know
The winds defile the world

Vultures and flies
Carriers of death
A feast in their eyes
A poem unread
And life will crown death and its hounds
Now that the sun is blind
The sun is blind

Skies of coal they hide the sun
And make the hearts grow cold and out of grasp
Promise me nothing is real
While the autumn scars, they tear

Skies of coal they hide the sun
Skies of coal bring autumn scars
