Little Hammocks

We pour buildings on top of water
An alter ego thrives on our screen
We grow flowers in designer bags
All their roots are plastic
In this garden life is sprouting fast

We love our marriage
It is outstanding
I like the way
You make me cringe
It's all so comfortable
I don't think I'll ever leave

We just like superficial
But could we be more real?

We walk, judge, stop to wonder
Who will try and clean this mess up
We all carry beautiful gifts
We could do something to change, but will we?
Unravel!

Thinking that we are special
That's how we end up here

Nothing is as sweet
As building your own shelter
Escaping with the breeze
Swinging on little hammocks
