Conveyor Belt
Moving into darkness
The city lights
Fading to black
I lay upon the rubber
Of the belt
Transporting me
To the unknown
I see the stars, billions of natural cosmic pinpricks, free from the barrier of light pollution
Green shoots
Of grass
Are growing thicker
Passing on either side
I hear the wind rustle
Making them dance
In scattered time
Glowing violet and white Triteleia mirror the bright specks from above
Enshrining my exiled sojourn as it nears its end
Then I'm tossed to the ground
The city lights
Fading to black
I lay upon the rubber
Of the belt
Transporting me
To the unknown
I see the stars, billions of natural cosmic pinpricks, free from the barrier of light pollution
Green shoots
Of grass
Are growing thicker
Passing on either side
I hear the wind rustle
Making them dance
In scattered time
Glowing violet and white Triteleia mirror the bright specks from above
Enshrining my exiled sojourn as it nears its end
Then I'm tossed to the ground
