Alive and Well

We were made to live but there are some who dare
To challenge this reality
A list with everyone's name
Is called out one by one, waiting patiently for my turn
But I can't find myself amongst this crowd
I find a pen with ink, and a blank piece of paper
I write down everything that will no longer hurt me
I'm alive and breathing now, I taste the smell of happiness
On the tip of my tongue, all our hopes and dreams
Are right in front of us, don't let them go away
All these things that bring us life
Are what we will soon turn out to be
Just wait and see
Write down, the pain that won't come back
And regrets that we will no longer keep
We complain and suffer
But it's time to show some gratitude
I'm alive and breathing now, I taste the smell of happiness
I'm alive and breathing now, I taste the smell of happiness
On the tip of my tongue, all our hopes and dreams
Are right in front of us
Don't let them go away
All these things that bring us life
Are what we will soon turn out to be
Just wait and see
