Her (Killing Eve)
There were no candles lit.
The room was dark as night,
just like the corners of my mind.
I — gave my heart to her
She — has my heart.
I rose to kiss her
but the flower fell apart,
fire glistened
and tore me apart,
'Where does love go?", she said.
I said,
"Wherever you are."
Aglow she lie, limbs soft,
her eyes almost closed,
wandering a wilderness of all things wanting
to know.
I caught her in midair
gathering wildflowers to braid in her hair.
The room was dark as night,
just like the corners of my mind.
I — gave my heart to her
She — has my heart.
I rose to kiss her
but the flower fell apart,
fire glistened
and tore me apart,
'Where does love go?", she said.
I said,
"Wherever you are."
Aglow she lie, limbs soft,
her eyes almost closed,
wandering a wilderness of all things wanting
to know.
I caught her in midair
gathering wildflowers to braid in her hair.
