Flatscreen, an overloaded surge protector
I've been waiting too long, get this show on the road
Turn it on, hit the power, then all systems go
Load the game, go insane, throw grenades, over gates
Blow away shoulder blades, know the name, open safes
A few simple rules so get ready for a crash course
Gotta know controls, every system any platform
Cartridge or disc, you know it's fair game
If you've got a bigger gun then we'll just compare aim
Dual Core, Take it Back, now you know the name
We just have a little fun and enjoy it the same

Staying up late just to beat the next level
Next boss, next quest, next fight, next guy
Parents start yelling it's past your bedtime
Threatening you're grounded, no buts can't try
But you're feeling that push, that drive, that's why
You got the new armor or cracked the new code
You're winning in the race so you're conquering the globe
Parents always told you gotta finish what begins
And what about the time they told you quitters never win
It's too late for logic, they don't want to listen in
Cause that would be a weakness, a sign of giving in
Now it's Mission 10 and if skipping it's a sin
That's the gamer spirit that will always live within
Remember how it was even through the thick and thin

Back to the party where we're playing everything
Every game that you bring, the whole thing is full swing
Surprised by the clock how the hands seem to fly
It's always fun times up until the sun rise
Video games are the main entertainment
But having friends around has just got to be my favorite
Best of any effort for rescuing the Princess
Nothing compared to just sharing your interests
Plus the good times that the gaming always brings
Side conversations and catching up on things
Can't lose the memory deleting the file
Some of these friends I haven't seen in a while
We had to take it back and complete it in style
Always good times so I'm keeping a smile
Now the sun's up moving through the equator
So we'll do it all again, better sooner than later
