This Land Is Our Land
I'm no Guevara although I can be quite contrarian
But we do share a love for all reforms agrarian
It's not a new thing, though it has fallen from favour
It's never mentioned by UKIP or by Labour
So as I say there is a rich historical precedent
For recognising we are merely cosmic residents
You can't really own land any more than Ursa Minor
Just coz you popped out of a privileged... family
This land is our land, and the Duke is not my saviour
Though he has houses on Mayfair and Belgravia
When the people rise up, the Landed always crack down
This land is our land, and we're going to need it back now
Well by extension, the same applies to everyone
The case for Land Reform is not confined to Englishmen
Or women either, or any restless wanderer
Who finds that tear gas only makes the hope grow stronger
This land is our land, with perfectly straight borders
Drawn by the pencil and the ruler of an Englishman
From the E of Acre, to the K of Kirkuk
It's just a fading line in an age-old playbook
Restless refugee, may you rest this day
Reckless refugee, how could words convey
Righteous refugee, on this pale blue day
Rightful refugee
Related refugee
This world is our world so throw open the borders
We'll live among you, and you will live among us
I have a dream some day our kids will play together
They will swear best friends forever and for ever
They will swear best friends forever and for ever
But we do share a love for all reforms agrarian
It's not a new thing, though it has fallen from favour
It's never mentioned by UKIP or by Labour
