On Witch Time

Rugby road's the one that joins the River Cross to Leam
Got no reason to be there, I'm just out wondering again
Perhaps naively I had hoped to give my mind some kind of break
This is meant to be escape, but as is typically the case
I pull my phone out
Phone out, yeah

Top park is infested with people dressed as rats and pigs
Escape to the Parade and then to Newbold as the showers hit
You'll find in my possession some incriminating texts
We're detectives, you and I, and you might guess what I do next
I screen the silence for some meaning, no my threshold's not adjusting
It's distressing, it's upsetting, and it makes me feel disgusting
Back in town the crowds are building as I paint my body green
Such a shame we're not together melting into one another's skin

Just imagine if we were
Just imagine

I'll be living on witch time
Until then

Until when
