The Dragon, The Drum, And It's Song

You were covered in all black, with glowing white eyes
Like a burnt wood statue that I could crumble with my nails
We went down into, the, ground
Underneath was an ocean
Diving from above
Moon hovering low
A serpent appeared
Giant black dragon, green and red face
He brought ashore, into his cavern
It was dry like death
I walked in slowly, through the curved entrance
That's when I saw his burning hearth

Not his face but his eyes
I've seen you before
A younger version of a drum maker
I knew before

He took my hands, near to the fire
That's when I saw it
A burning head
I asked what its name was
A burning head
It told me what its name was
I rejected it foolishly at first
A burning head
I knew what its name was

My guide put my hands into the fire
And it didn't burn me
I instinctively picked up the head
And brought it to my chest

My chest swelled up!
My defenses fell
And we merged

Part of me, Part of me
You are now a part of me
Part of me, Part of me
You are now a part of me

Inside outside
Inside outside
Spirit, Spirit
Spirit, Spirit

Goodbye my, drum maker
Goodbye dragon, there you stay
I promise, I will visit again
