Homeless Romantic

Front seat driver rambles wild
On a one man built parade
The roses are now withered
Different colors turn the same

An optical illusion
Of a sandy harbor storm
Tears a hole into the page
From visions of the Norm

Old man hobo
Sing them blues
Temporal different straits
Of the Great United States

Young boy buskin'
Busy streets
Every corner has a circle
When the world's right on your feet

A tunnel of light is flashing by
So many worlds I've seen
I've earned my stripes
Through railroad spikes
And cereal boxed-up treats

Purple snow- capped mountains
Or kaleidoscopic scenes
From the hill and to the well
Is where your image gleams

Homeless Romantic
On another train
A lonesome passerby awaits
For you outside the stage

As you like it
Your grand debut
Jump into the darkest dais
So life can start anew
