Silencer

I can feel the winter chill, it cuts right to the bone
Reminding me of words you said so poignant long ago
And as we battle through our daily lives, we search for something true
Will your actions deafen ears or will your silence prove

As it goes, as we go

And is it for the greater good of man what we create?
The fear of the unknown becomes a catalyst for hate
And as we go along and stumble on giant foot prints left behind
I'll do all that I can to leave this world better to find

So now I speak for those who have no say
In troubled times, for those who've lost their way
When I reach the end, will I have done all that I could
For fellow man, for sinners and for good?

I live my life,
strive to do what's right and be the best human I can be
And when I take that final breath I want to feel that I've achieved
