Old Friends

I took a drive today
Saw all the places, used to mean something to me
Familiar faces that mean nothing to me

The past ten years took a toll on me
Old friends come and go
And I wish I could go back
But dad says to push to tomorrow

Why should I give you my time, if you won't give me yours
I grew up, you left me behind
I don't need you like I did before
I don't need you like I did before
I don't need you like I did before

People ask me why I don't go out
Unless it's to take pictures
And I don't know why
But I know I'm not in them

The past ten years took a toll on me
Old friends come and go
And I wish I could go back
But dad says to push to tomorrow
