Don't Tell

Wollin he warned us, but nobody heard him
Totalitarianism inverted
Not representative systems perverted
And it just don't help with the hurting (listen)
Call it democracy, more like de-mockery
Only established by white men with property
Needed some deeds and you needed a penis
Just to be voting well maybe there's reasons
That change, only can come from a movement
All other means seem toothless
Man i'm saying it's useless, cuz the truth is
You think there's a difference between the two parties?
Both are just products of puppets and lobbies
One's more compassionate hardly, maybe
But still there's perpetual war for our babies so
What is the answer man what's the conclusion?
How can we help be a part of solutions?
Now that we've started, to get to the heart of it
How can we change it while still be a part of it?
Loving this country and loving our freedom
But hate the deceiving and hate that the evil men
Rise to the highest of ranks while it seems
Like the rest of us don't have the means (breathe)
He's riling his base, meanwhile i'm riding the bass
I'll tell him right to his face
It's cool to be talking bout freedom my man
But admit it it's nicer to taste
How can i relate, to victims of hate?
I caught many breaks despite forces of change
We know America loves to be in bed with thugs
I learned about Pieces of Strange (listen)
The crowd waving side to side
Whille i'm just weighing my 9 to 5
Should i be leaving but meanwhile believers
Are leaving my side i'm high and dry
Figuring out if the timing is right
But then right there within my line of sight
I see the loveliest vision a paradise hidden
And everything's gonna be fine (listen)
We give out diplomas to people in comas
Illiterates and flat-Earthers
We got schoolbooks, that still use words
Like we "just imported some workers"
And i know that nothing is perfect
I know how short my time on this Earth is
But call it what you want cuz to carry it it hurts
And no fellow living things deserves this
Dodging a wrench, and dodging a ball
But no not a fence and no not from a wall
Getting defensive is sometimes offensive
So we're busy blocking them all
While we're walking the mall and racking up mad debt
While the assets that may have some ideas we ain't have yet
Are getting bag checked and given an undeserved bad rep
Enslavement it blossomed to feed the impossibly
Burgeoning upper class sweet tooth
Indeed i get heated and try to repeat
That this life is more than just a read through
Each moment itself a unique truth
Transparency is more than what you see through
If you got love for good people and see em as equals
Be open to letting 'em teach you (breathe)
The Right is anything but that
Self-serving platform that now is like f*** facts
Kicking up sludge and it's stuck to the mud flaps
The body populace covered with blood tracks
And the Left, has only left good people out
Weeds can grow upon seeds of doubt
Way too self-righteous to come speak about
The people that they're freezing out (listen)
The Right says a corporate-run state is successful
The Left too scared to say America's special
We're all so tired from being so mired
With nobody in sight to come to the rescue
I'm an over analytical, restless individual
But it's still lyrical modern versions of spirituals
Try to keep a hold but it's pitiful
Cuz it's just a mold that i know i can't fit into, get it dude!
