Marionette

I'm a marionette doll
That is all I am in this world
Tossed aside like a rag doll
At my father's word
Succumbing to the atmosphere
Though I know I don't belong here
I just don't understand
Why my life's not in my hands

As the petals fall I call out to my mother
Crying rescue me
At the end of it all
I'm slowly sinking down down down underground
He says to me, I'll be his queen
Can't leave, I'm in too deep
In this tattered gown I'll wear the crown
Bestowed onto me

As the water falls
As my tears fall
As the torches go out
All hope's gone

As the water falls
As my tears fall
As the torches go out
All hope's gone

As the petals fall
I call out to my mother
Crying rescue me
At the end of it all
I'm slowly sinking down down down underground
He says to me, I'll be his queen
Can't leave, I'm in too deep
In this tattered gown I'll wear the crown
Forced on me
