Ringworm Sam

Well Ringworm Sam bought himself a lamp
At the tabernacle social
It was old but he liked the way it leaned
And he put it in his bedroom

He plugged it in and that is when
He saw a map on the inner lampshade
It showed him some place in MN
With a stream and an X by an old bridge

He packed his Geritol - he packed it all
And hauled ass in his red Nash Rambler
And Ringworm Sam got into a scrape
When the map turned out to be bait

Now he hangs in damp basement pants
Like a bat in a rainy belfry
Every day at 4 someone opens the door
And they grab themselves a selfie

Ringworm Sam was tied-up and jabbed
All he wanted was a little treasure
His general hue is fading to
A color only rats can measure

Now he hangs, hangs, hangs
