Weeping Willow

I gave up on hope for a God
Where was he when the innocent died?
I hear voices calling to me with the cicadas
They were there when I was praying by my bedside

Come out from your home
Come wander the woods
The mire is calling out to you

I wander through darkness
I sit beneath a tree
The willow weeps for me
The willow weeps for me
Show your face to me

Then the bark on the tree begins to
contort and face appears in the wood
"Come to me my child
Surrender to me your precious soul
I will never forsake you
I will embrace you unlike the God that you pray to
Surrender yourself to me
Surrender yourself to the mire"
