Why I Love This Place

It ain't that honky tonk pounding headache hangover mixing with some
Neon memories of me closing down
Downtown that keeps me hanging round round round
It ain't that scratch off one-stop fill up your truck with
Diesel tucked in the shadow of the first baptist church steeple
Bells ring ring
Even though I love all those things...

There's a blue eyed reason why I ain't leaving,
Long as she's here gonna keep on keeping pullin' on
Up in this drive way, ain't no need for me to drive away
If I got I her then, man, I got it made
She's why I love this place

It ain't 3 generations of farming with muddy boots,
I know it's her that keeps keeping
These roots in the ground ground ground
What i'm trying to say right now...

There's a blue eyed reason why I ain't leaving,
Long as she's here gonna keep on keeping pullin' on
Up in this drive way, ain't no need for me to drive away
If I got I her then, man, I got it made
She's why I love this place

There's a lot of great places,
Lotta cool map dots that I could pick,
But I'll stick with the one I got...

There's a blue eyed reason why I ain't leaving,
Long as she's here gonna keep on keeping pullin' on
Up in this drive way, ain't no need for me to drive away
If I got I her then, man, I got it made
She's why I love this place
