Grow

First time she shot me down it never made a difference
Ever since I was a child I never listened
It's her smile and the way her soul glistens
And those beautiful soup coolers
Oh just I can't wait to kiss 'em
But I've never been that shallow, for me it's about longevity
So with her I'm trying to explore more than her curves
I want to put M over V and find out her density
I want to find out where her ways came from and talk about what sparked the interest in me
Then when the time is right I want to go places with you that I've been too afraid to venture alone
Baby come along, just let me get in my zone and hopefully you get lost in the words of this poem
I trust that you got me and I would never let anything go wrong for you
Forget being strong for me, baby I'm being strong for you
But that's later down the road when you realize
That the man that you with is just another bump in the road
Don't worry I understand the process and how these things go
We have to be apart in order for us to grow, have you ever seen enclosed water flow?
That's why every time you're single I decide to let you flow
