Let Down

There was a moment where I thought I gave up
I was fourteen I thought life put me through enough
But I was wrong
I caught myself standing in the bathroom
Staring at the mirror
Attempting to decide to
Go through with it and not chicken out
Go ahead and drink the poison cause this what you about
And so I did
And patiently waited until my end
But it never came and to this day I do not comprehend
That attempt at suicide was a failed success
Showed me just how strong I am when i'm under stress
And i'm sure i'm not the only one that's going through it
This goes out to everybody still here pursuing
A better life even when times are really rough
I hope you hear me out i'm proud of you
You're very tough
You made it this far
I hope you make it even farther
From here on out the blessings only getting larger
If there's one thing I never want you to forget
It's what i'm about to tell you here in a second
Don't lose hope it sparks the drive
It's worth it to stay alive

Cause i've been thinking about tomorrow
Will it bring happiness or will it bring sorrow
I guess we'll find out then
If living in the moment is worth it in the end

A let down ain't a let down it's a lesson
So tell me why i'm always stressing
If it's meant to be then it will be
No need for worry cause no matter what we will see
If the effort put in was enough
I often question how i'm dealing with this stuff
I guess i'm out of my mind
But i'm still one of a kind

I thought I found the one this year
As it turns out she was always here
I'm talking about the music
That's the one that I can count on
Been with me since day one man that's right on
Target with the goals that I need to hit
There have been a lot of moments where I wanted to quit
But giving in has never been a part of me
I fight for what I want until theres no energy left in me
Even when my blue skies turn gray
Three sides to that story with a lot to say
Side one when the blessings coming down
Side two when I want no one around
Side three is when it comes together
Even when things fell apart it worked out for the better
I learned to appreciate more
Cause not having things shakes you down to the core
I'm leaving people that don't benefit me
Tying up loose ends that just keep playing with me
So if I keep you around
You mean the world to me please don't let me down
