The Hourglass

I feel like suffocating, enslaved by the frenzy, nightmare working rhythms walking zombies
Hours of the day just don't seem enough, you must find a way to throw something out
Seasons slip away just like silent snowflakes that you can not preserve in the palm of your hand

Small daily satisfactions to stay positive
And convince yourself that you're not dead yet, maybe

You will struggle to find a thousand ways to hold on to life
To prevent the cold routine from freezing your smile
Pretend to still feel some emotion, or at least keep it as an option

Stop breathe take a moment just for yourself
Stop look it's not all black if you stop thinking about the end

I've built a normal life for
Myself, following a script written by someone else (written by someone else)
An average individual who walks through the stages of
Existence, already set by those who preceded you

Small daily satisfactions to stay positive
And convince yourself that you're not dead yet, maybe

You will struggle to find a thousand ways to hold on to life
To prevent the cold routine from freezing your smile
Pretend to still feel some emotion, or at least keep it as an option

Stop breathe take a moment just for yourself
Stop look it's not all black if you stop thinking about the end

The End
End
The End
End

You will struggle to find a thousand ways to hold on to life
To prevent the cold routine from freezing your smile
Pretend to still feel some emotion, or at least keep it as an option

About the end (how 'bout the end?)
About the end (how 'bout the end?)

Stop breathe take a moment just for yourself
Stop look it's not all black if you stop thinking about the end

Stop breathe take a moment just for yourself
Stop look it's not all black if you stop thinking about the end
