Get It Right

Ever since the day that we were married
I wondered why it is I need a wife
What is it that you do that other women can't?
And what is the purpose of this life?

And I think I'm starting to get it
Sure had to take me a while
Seems I had to be as thick as wood
But I'm here to tell you with a smile

What's the story now with children?
They are encoded messages for sure
And as I contemplate encryption
It is the hidden treasures that endure

And I think I'm starting to get it
The world as I've known it is just a tool
And it's up to me how I should use it
For becoming wise or to become a fool

I'm here to serve them over and over
I'm here to serve them though there can be no end in sight

We ask these questions
Why this vast enduring struggle
That continues to this day
Why right and wrong?

Why this universe and why this planet?
Why is there war and death and music?
Why is there song?

And I think I'm starting to get it
We stand together as one
And we turn our hearts to the face of God
With our minds illuminated like the sun

We're here to serve You over and over

May we hold on tight
May we pull ourselves up
With all of our might
