Real Good Time

After work on Friday night
I told the boys that I'd stop by
They were gonna go listen to a local band
One beer led to another and the bartender said hey try this brother
And that's about time that everything got out of hand

The little cocktail that he made
Tasted something like lemonade
And it packed a punch so I started
singing and dancing I think I took my shirt off

I don't know what happened next
And I never meant to get out of line
But I'm sick and I'm broke so I must've had a real good time

There wasn't nothing that was gonna slow me down
I think I even bought the house a round
I spent my last dime before the night was done
I looked around and my friends were gone
They didn't even try to drag me home
I guess they figured that I was having too much fun

I met a girl who was twice my age
I gave her some of that lemonade
And it wasn't long till she was singing
and dancing I think she took her shirt off

I don't know what happened next
And I never meant to get out of line
But I'm sick and I'm broke so I must've had a real good time

The bar closed around 2 o'clock
I guess they finally had to call the cops
They tell me I went right on singing
and dancing I think I kept my pants on

I don't know what happened next
And I never meant to get out of line
But I'm sick and I'm broke so I must've had a real good time
I don't know what happened next
And I never meant to get out of line
But I'm sick and I'm broke so I must've had a real good time
Yeah I'm sick and I'm broke so I must've had a real good time
