Life

I try to live a normal life. Sometimes I think i'd like a nine to five
Then I get to laughing, thinking what i'd do to keep myself alive
I've shoveled shit and swung a hammer, worked on cars and motorcycles
And almost killed a boss or two
Go to school and get a job, and isn't that what we're supposed to do

How many times has someone asked you if you're really happy
How many times have you allowed yourself to really care

How many times has someone asked you if you're really happy
How many times have you allowed yourself to really care

I can't understand a man who works only where he can and abandoned all his dreams
Filled with rage and jealousy and regrets the man he chose to be
Like a cancer eating in his bones he's all alone with the torture in his mind
Saddest thing, he blames the rest of you, (but) it was with him all the time

How many times has someone asked you if you're really happy
How many times have you allowed yourself to really care
