Piles of Rome - Live

It's in the day
Gonna lose my way
The falling glove
Never to fall in love
And with the cosmic tree-top
Music never will stop
It's in the day
Gonna lose my way

It's like mystery and misery
Sometimes lost
Calling to waves inside caves
Somethings never get frost
A frame of the land
Buried at hand
If pain is liquid
Then the glass is surely half-full

A snail on trapeze
Darkness on the breeze
An error of rule
So punished be the fool
Lightning shades of green
Mouse still on the scene
Doors will soon collide
Skies will open wide

Ashes of towers
Piles of Rome
Salt on the day
File this poem
Wilted are flowers
Help bring back showers
Rain behind the day
Tempted to stay

Could be on hold
And heat could be cold
The lies could be true
And I could be you
When eyes can't see through
The devil is due
Now shadows befall
Flocks of sheep run to the call

The gravest tales forgotten soon
Cryptic gold in the middle of a dune
Harbor's harvest slowed on down 'till noon
Must be thinking how he's a looney toon
Future days of hollow seem bleak
Must be something new we can seek
Rainbow's end is golden, by and by
Never let it wither up and die

It's in the day
Gonna lose my way
Heard it walking away
In the ashes of the piles of Rome
Where the misled hordes
The flock thought was their home
It's in the day
Gonna lose my way
