All Around

All around the hills and caves
Deep in the ground, mongst the aged graves
I heard no sound, from all my days
Of seeking hind the doors, for the one who saves

I've been down yonder, passed stars up nigh
In both my wander, has left me high and dry
I've begun to ponder, simply who and why
Would tear my world asunder, leave me here to die

If giving up, is the name of the game, no quitting now
Since giving up, leaves none be me to blame, ill keep on somehow

I'm bumping shoulders walking gainst the grain
In a world of folders buckling from the pain
I feel Im closer on the road alone
My own composer reaping seeds ive sown

Who will be the ship, to carry me home?

I recognize my fear of standing here, and letting water run me raw
Splaying roots of insecurity, in the knowledge that I have no control at all
So in this state, where my own fate, is resting in the hands of one unseen
I'm pressing on towards the gate, trusting a higher strength to pull me up, and then I'll finally see that

You've always been the ship, to carry me home
