Mother Nature
I can see the wind
Blowing through the hair
Of an animal that's lying dead
In the cold winter air
Was it his life was lost just for his skin?
Or, was it the life to save the life of a hungry Indian?
Life has left the spirit of Mother Nature
She is just a graves possession
She is lying dead in the winds
She's in need of help from human oppression
I can see a fire
Burning very low
And, a family of Indians with nowhere left to go
Was it a sudden change took them by surprise?
Or, were they caught up in the winds
Of the white fathers lies?
Life has left the spirit of Mother Nature
She is just a graves possession
She is lying dead in the winds
She's in need of help from human oppression
They took us from our caves
And, drug us down from the hills
Made us travel out to Oklahoma
They stole our life force from our hands
And, gave us papers for wastelands
But, now the wind has change its direction
I can see the sun rising very slow
And, I can hear the beating drums from so far below
I can see the dust settling at last
And, I can see our Mother Earth as she was in the past
Life has left the spirit of Mother Nature
She is just a graves possession
She is lying dead in the winds
She's in need of help from human oppression
Life has left the spirit of Mother Nature
She is just a graves possession
She is lying dead in the winds
She's in need of help from human oppression
Blowing through the hair
Of an animal that's lying dead
In the cold winter air
Was it his life was lost just for his skin?
