Before It's Too Late

We're living our lives without someone to guide us
Are we making a choice or blindly leading the way?
Believing the lies that they blatantly told us
We're trapped on this stage without roles we can play

Drifting through days we try and muster a purpose
Doubting the notion that there's one to be had
It's too bad we only see what lies on the surface
It's sick we're so quick to judge and to be misled

All we want is to know
Is whether we can keep it in our control
Or should we just let go
And fall?

Every day gets washed away
In the rush of our routine
Quickly changing like the frames
In a movie we have seen
How can we take it anymore?
It's getting old to sit and wait
We better take it in our hands
Before it's too late

Often I think of how fragile our lives are
On this little planet we call our home
We think that we're clever and sure to get wiser
Without even knowing if we're all alone

So the story goes on
We die before we are born
Never leaving a thing behind for them
To hold on to when we're gone

Every day gets washed away
In the rush of our routine
Quickly changing like the frames
In a movie we have seen
How can we take it anymore?
It's getting old to sit and wait
We better take it in our hands
Before it's too late
