The Human Race

Facing life, everyday, can take it's toll in a distressing way
Standing up, for what you think is fair, is like Russian Roulette, truth or dare
All we ask for, everyday, is a chance to live our lives a better way
But it seems no matter, how hard you try, You're only getting closer to the day you die

Keep on facing, life with a smile, things will get better in a little while
Don't you feel so out of place, it's just life in the fast lane, of the human race

All the news, everyday, seems so bad, I think it's time to pray
How can you smile, when there's no wit, make the most of life so cruel, and try to fit
And you think, everyday, there's so many dark clouds, I can't see the rays
You see so many heroes, but you feel just like a zero, is the world gone to far
Well my friend, I just don't know

Keep on facing, life with a smile, things will get better in a little while
Don't you feel so out of place, it's just life in the fast lane, of the human race

All that you here, all that you see, things you hold dear, the way you wanna be
Looking for what's right, searching for a clue, give us insight to know what to do
If we stand together, if our will is strong, through the stormy weather, we can't go wrong
There's so much strife, the world's so depleted, so much loss of life, but we can defeat it

Keep on facing, life with a smile, things will get better in a little while
Don't you feel so out of place, it's just life in the fast lane, of the human race
