Sometimes I question my belief in God
Can't understand why life has to be so damn hard
Sorry 'bout the language, I just need to be real, right now

I have the faith but sometimes wrestle with my doubt
I don't trust anyone who claims to have it all figured out
It's like they just wanna' cheapen God's love and mystery
So they can justify looking down on me

But hell in the things we do
And the songs we sing in the church feel good
But ignore a simple truth
That life ain't always picture perfect
At least it's not for me
And the psalmist in the Bible well
He seems to agree
