When the Time for My Last Breath Comes

I'm living
My last long days,
Where I saw my children grow up and
My goals being fulfilled,
My intelligence mature and my experience expand.

I get the sense of accomplishment,
Completed duty.
But I don't want to go away from this old world
With its unique nuances.
Even knowing my time will end
I struggle to keep breathing.

I imagine that
When the time for my last breath comes
Everything and everyone
Will cease to exist
No more feelings, disappointments or fears

I imagine that
There are no paths after life on Earth
We can be just a spark
In the hugeness of the universe

I think
Time may
Have come
For me to go

A strong pain
Tears my beating heart
I feel how lonely this moment is

I see
The light
Distorting
And fading away
I understand
Time has come
And there is nothing
I can do
I say
Goodbye
To friends,
Family and to
My old body
Now cold
And paralyzed...
