A cold summer night in '17 made us all prey
It was Monday, 24 July
The world was still intact but it changed that same night
3 Cousins of mine and my brother went out
To a city nearby to just have a good time
Of course alcohol was involved there's no doubt
But only a few drinks, not to an excessive amount
They had fun just like the nights before
Even shared some on snap a few moments before
Hitting the road back, Sam was the one who drove back
A life-saving decision as if he had known that
Shit was about to get real, yeah mad real
Driving at a speed that was usual in that vill
Suddenly a car overhauled on the opposite lane
Without headlights and everything was about to change

They almost got hit, only avoided a collision
Cause Sam was quick to react and leave the road by intuition
They crossed roads before hitting a big rock, their car flipped
And landed on the rooftop in the sea of Ohrid
Flo and Lenny in the back and my brother in the front seat
But everybody alive despite landing so uncomfy
They didn't realize where they were till the water got in
And turned the car to a death trap, they started panicking
Only by chance Sam left the window open cause he been smoking
And that same small window was their only hope in that moment
He managed to get out first and rescue Lenny and Flo
But it took them a few tries to open the back door
Outta the car they searched for Bimi but couldn't see him
He was still stuck inside, a few seconds left to breathe in
With his last ounce of strength and god's help
Sam went in again, pulling my brother out and nobody got left

This caught me off-guard I'm not gonna lie
I've never shed as many tears as I did during that time
'Prolly the roughest situation of my life
And I wasn't even there so imagine how they felt like
Damn, I couldn't get this outta my head
Went through it again and again just tryna understand
Why did it happen to them? it don't make sense
It changed my perception of a view things ever since
I can't stop the march of time, I can't rewind
But I can change the present and the future by
Spending a lot more time with my loved ones
Tell 'em how much I value them, it don't cost none
I know it sounds cliché but listen son
Indeed, you never know what you have until it's gone
