Altais Through the Sunroof

With my eyes filled with hair
Fists full of silverware
I rose up to the stars to see what was really down here
I saw the tops of the trees
The curve and the shape of these city streets
I saw Altais' face in the eyes of darby creek

Rain pelts the streets as the clouds play the timpani
I can swim through the flood
But lightning keep away from me!
I went out to hear the storm
I took my shirt off in the warmth
Although the lightning lingered on
By the time i got outside, the thunder had all gone

What's going on in my big reality?
Is my universe a cell in somebody's body?
Are there tiny little galaxies swimming through my bloodstream
All full of tiny little people wondering the same exact thing?

She taught me life was in everything, and i was alive in her
