We laughed around
I can almost see it now
We were trouble bound
And I could see we needed to get out

But Johnny kept on rowing
Even when approaching the fire
He knew where he was going

We passed around
But Johnny brought his own

While Johnny snorted coke
Then I saw his nose

And from it blood was dripping
As Johnny's body slumped to the floor
His friends were high as kites
So they hadn't heard Johnny as he tried to call to us

And we grabbed the phone, dialled triple 'O
We called Johnny's mother and she wept on the phone

He always said to me
That a harmless act could never cause more than a cure from
Boredom
