The Girl Who Sings

Once upon a time there was a girl who always laughs
Once upon a time there was a girl who doesn't listen
Once upon a time she felt free flying on her bed
She felt unstoppable when she sings

She was blind through the chaos
She was deaf to their voices
She was happy on her own
And alive

Once upon a time she starts to dance on her own
Gliding round the room as no one sees

Now she travels round the world
No longer sings, no longer dance
She is happy
But still, something was missing
Clothes scattered, dish unwashed
Unfinished laundry, stained walls
She grabbed her guitar
Fix the strings and starts to sing

Now I see the world
It's colourful I can see it
It is overwhelming but that's life
It is beautiful, if we change the way we see it
It is a blessing that no one sees
Right in front of us
Right in front of us
