The Floor

If there is one thing the floor has taught me
It's how to stay level and free
Cause the collapsing causes me to deal with
Things the eye can't see

And I haven't been sober in a while
So I'll spend my days down on these tiles

And the world will keep on turning
Although time for me has stopped
And I think about returning
To live life and get back up

But my muscles won't move anymore
So I'll spend my days down on this floor

And I can't sing anymore
Without feeling all of the cigarettes I've smoked
And I can't feel you anymore
Life didn't turn out as I had hoped

I had hoped it would be

But I'll get up, and get going
Start living my life, start flowing
So the alcohol can degenerate

I'll start working, doing new things
Meeting people, and I'll watch myself sing about happiness

Fake songs sell better anyway
