Apophis, The Cleanser

From my hill
I sat still, high and away from all the rest
The two sides divided, and when they collided
They gave birth to blood and death
It took waiting some years; but when the smoke cleared
I picked their bones of what was left

The tendrils of the mothership are reaching for the sun
The moon throws back and forth
Controlling the tides of the ocean

Beneath the waves an ancient force awakes
A void, a page, a song, a storm
Mountains spew fire, raining down woe and ire

There once were hairless apes that poisoned their homeland
With every breath they took they wasted the air
Then their gods saw fit to teach them a lesson
Crashed heaven down upon the ground to strip the earth bare

A place for everything and everything in its place
Order was restored the day the asteroid came
