White Light

Sitting on the chair next
To her bed he listens
To her breathing helped
By a machine

As the night takes him away
The beeping sound drifts into
His dreams and he falls asleep
Next to her

Suddenly he wakes up, what if she'd gone, what if shed not said goodbye?
I wont fall asleep, he whispers in her ear, and he keeps saying to her

I will wait yeah I will wait until my last breath blows it all away
I will wait yeah I will wait until my last breath blows it all away

Now more than a week has passed
She lays undisturbed still
He cannot lose faith yet
For she is strong

Sometimes he leans over her
And he kisses her forehead
As her parents watch from the sky
Her heart beats

Suddenly he worries, that she might go, without saying goodbye
You can't give up, he whispers in her ear, and he keeps saying to her

I will wait yeah I will wait until my last breath blows it all away
I will wait yeah I will wait until my last breath blows it all away

She saw, the white light, at the end of the tunnel, when she opened her eyes, he was there

I will wait yeah I will wait until my last breath blows it all away
I will wait yeah I will wait until my last breath blows it all away
