The Swimming Pool

I remember being innocent and feeling a presence
Was it just a figment of my imagination
God if you're there speak the fuck up
Blasphemous I know but trust me it's quite just
See you've thrown me in the pool like some drunken step father
Watch me thrash about in panic while I'm sinking underwater
Until I tire
I sink deeper
From the pool's floor
I stare
Up at your still silhouette
I'm exhausted
I sit motionless oh stop it
I'll just sit here
Stubborn as ever
Show me that you care

Give me a reason
Something
Anything
To live for
Not even a good one

If we could get to a place where
You could simply say wait there
Yes dammit I'm here
Be man enough to break character
But I'm convinced you know you
Made more bones than souls true
And these flesh masked vessels
Are just so damn hollow
And your book was written
For a different generation
People who left with you
And you thought
You brought
All of them
Call us the forgotten
Left a life of corruption
Corporations and governments
Capitalizing on
An idea call freedom

There I go
Showing the world
The craziest things
That come to this brain
I say awake
You say insane
You say unstable
I say it's possible
I see things clearly
I speak impeccably
I know the crazies
Don't know if they're crazy
But maybe the crazies
Aren't really the crazies
And the crazies are winning
They just keep breeding

Eradicating the
Ones who actually see
Devils advocate grade
Basic psychology
He must be joking well Isn't he
Let's wait and see
Where this is going

Quite a mind fuck mindset
Isn't it
And this was just four
Minutes of this brain that I've been cursed with
