Lanterns

I am so tired to think about a lover's touch in the night.
I am so tired to tell myself he's gonna come around.
It's hard to believe that a man can see my light when the
night falls, hard to believe that love can go knocking on your door.
Stepping on higher ground,
gradation is in process but the cold
gust of wind knocks you out of your senses.

Then you find yourself lying on the
pavement, wishing that life can be harmless.
Living is a dying process, never gonna change the cycle's progress.
Love is a cure for the broken hearted,
Only the rich can afford the bottle.
The damned are living in a third world country,
how can love feed the damned and the starving?

I am so drained with the thought of romance
I need to choose between survival and euphoric demands.
It's hard to dream of a life where he kisses all your
problems, telling you he'll stay when the high becomes a downfall.
Radiant from the start,
darkens when the ground crumbles.
The flare in his eyes begin to lose the sparkle.

I see the Lanterns in the city.
I don't need a lover to help me see.
Been through all the lies and the cries of living in the
city, so I follow the Lanterns to be a star in the city.

Oh Whoa, Oh Whoa, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah, Yeah

I see the Lanterns in the city.
I don't need a lover to help me see.
Been through all the lies and the cries of living in the
city, so I follow the Lanterns to be a star in the city.

(I'm losing the light, I'm losing the light) Lanterns in the city
(I'm losing the light, I'm losing the light) Lanterns in the city
