Blindspot

In the attic of my mind
There are disturbances
That never goes away
What was I going to say?
To you?

I think more freely in the dusk
When I can sense my world
Trying to settle in
Fitfully again
When every sound feels precious
And every sound seems important

I cannot decide which regrets
That I can live without

What I hide during the day
Sine brightly in my dark
Eyes I did not meet
Words I did not speak
To you

My resolve can shrink away
Dependent on my weather
And when I'm left out in the cold
It leaves me altogether
I'm trying to build a life well lived
But beginning to have my doubts

I cannot decide which regrets
That I can live without
